I would tell them pay attention to when you’re the hairs on your back of your neck pick up. And then the second bit of advice would be invest in your friends who you think are the smartest, I needed to learn that lesson myself and I have a lot of regrets from not having done that. Interesting.

realize what is your superpower for founders and become the best out of at it? I actually think founders these days have so many different choices. And they want to work with few people. So you need to figure out what is your superpower? The question I asked myself every day why founders should take my capital? And you have to have a really good answer for it. Love it.

I would say young padawan, you need to build a prepared mind before you make your first investment. I think there’s this false perception that venture is about getting points on the board. And if you’re if you’re new to venture you want to get your first deal done. And the truth couldn’t be further from that you know that every deal you make is part of your track record that follows you for your entire career, you want to be very thoughtful. And if you can build a prepared mind where you’re studying a particular market, or you’re studying a new technology, go meet with every company in and around that thesis that you’ve built. That will help you learn what great looks like before you make your first investment. I think a lot of young investors will make an investment they think it’s great, but they backed a b minus team and it two or three years later they figure that out. And they didn’t do enough homework to understand who the A teams are in a given category. And picking a team’s as you know, that’s that’s our day job and venture
